Senior Lighting Designer - London

There is an opening for a senior lighting designer on the MSLD team. This is a fantastic opportunity to come and work for a small, dynamic, independent lighting design practice. You would become an integral part of the team, running large projects and liaising with clients, design teams and contractors while managing projects and work organisation.

We are looking for someone with passion for creating beautiful spaces and homes for clients. If you care about lighting and having a happy homeowner at the end of the project then this is the right opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

  • Run lighting design projects from initial concept to final commissioning, communicating with all other stakeholders in the project.

  • Manage and prioritise your work and that of junior designers from different projects to ensure deadlines are hit.

  • Solve issues which arise during construction, coordinating between all different parties involved and provide solutions to the client to ensure the project gets back on track.

Requirements

  • You will have 5+ years experience as a lighting designer, with some of that experience from working on residential projects.

  • You will have a positive and proactive approach to work.

  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.

  • Experienced in using AutoCAD, Relux and/or Dialux, Photoshop, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Residence and ability to work in the UK (with a work visa already if required)

You would become an integral part of the team, working as part of the team on large projects and running small projects, plus liaising with clients, design teams and contractors while managing projects and work organisation.
